Retrospective Series for 150th Anniversary of Civil War
St. Charles, Ill., July 7, 2010 - The Norris Cultural Arts Center today announced plans to produce a multi-disciplinary, multi-venue series of events commemorating the 150th anniversary of the U.S. Civil War, beginning in 2011 and continuing through 2015. |

Congratulations to Miss Illinois 2009 - ERIN O'CONNOR! Congratulations to Miss Illinois 2009, Erin O'Connor (Miss Macom) Erin O'Connor, Miss Macomb 2009, has been named the new Miss Illinois. O'Connor, a 20-year-old Western Illinois University student from Evergreen Park, was crowned Saturday at the Miss Illinois Pageant, held in St. Charles at the Norris Cultural Arts Center. O'Connor will advance to the Miss America Pageant, scheduled to be televised live Jan. 30 on TLC. |

LOYOLA GRAD STUDENT KATIE LORENZ CROWNED MISS ILLINOIS 2008 23-year-old Katie Lorenz, the reigning Miss Chicago, was crowned Miss Illinois 2008 by outgoing Miss Illinois 2007 Ashley Hatfield of Anna on the night of Saturday, June 21st before a capacity crowd at the Norris Cultural Arts Center in St. Charles. |
